NANI IRO • Lokomaikai Cotton Double Gauze Fabric • Blue

Nani Iro Lokomaikai is a new floral design for 2023. Inspired by nature, like so many of Naomi Ito’s designs. This beautiful botanical design is printed in subtle tones of greyed off blue onto a cream background with accents of soft pink and petrol blue.

“In Hawaiian, “loko” means “inside” and “mai kai” means “goodwill, kindness, brightness, and fun.” I drew it with the image of “happiness that can be touched in the usual” by
putting a lovable person and scenery that you want to be close to in one piece like a bouquet”  – Naomi Ito

In 100% cotton, this tactile double gauze fabric, made from two layers of fine fabric held together at intervals, with a grid of stitches so tiny that they’re almost invisible, has a beautifully soft and lightweight feel to it.

100% Cotton Double Gauze • 106cm wide ∙ 140gms/m

Price is per HALF metre. So, if you require 1.5 metres for example, you’ll need to enter 3 in the quantity box.   

We recommend that you machine wash this fabric at 30 degrees before you start your sewing project.
